# Web Service Input Output Data

## Input Data

When your end-point logicnet is invoked, the following dataobjects will be available from the context.

All input data will be stored in the dataobject ‘\_\_in’ ![](https://2802811211-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FdFhfexCjZ5JMhwGzzywq%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-25e3a713c848521011391cb4410492f9a9d616f5%2F6f71f645-dbef-4187-b0f0-3a54e34b4e5c.png?alt=media)

\_\_in.content:= the body of the request

\_\_in.raw\_content:= the non-converted original posted body of the request

\_\_in.parameters:= the request parameters

\_\_request\_info:= information about the request method and content type

## Output Data

In order to return results back to the caller, the results should be stored to the \_\_out.result ![](https://2802811211-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FdFhfexCjZ5JMhwGzzywq%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-b4f92c84788b26af14c9d68159269716b769a5f4%2F7d5b10e9-2379-4482-b7de-4e3ef76b869b.png?alt=media)

\_\_out.status\_code := the status code that will be returned to caller.

The framework sets it by default to 200 OK, but it can be overridden in your logicnet.

## Data Models and Functions

End-point logicnets can also be turned into functions and accept datamodels as a type for the input objects. This makes it convenient to look up the data objects that can be used from within the function.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://community-test.logicnets.com/release-9/design-considerations-and-frameworks/frameworks/web-services-framework/web-service-input-output-data.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
