# LogicNets Installation: Maintenance Page

## Description

With LogicNets v7.3+ you can configure the system to display a maintenance page during the installation or upgrade of your server. This is the page your users will see while you perform maintenance on your application or if your application is not working. During the installation/upgrade process, the LogicNets installation gives the System Administrator the option to display a maintenance page to users trying to access the system while the instance is down.

If the System Administrator answers *Yes*, the system will access and display the System Configuration file for the default maintenance page or customized maintenance pages. **Note:** During standard LogicNets Windows maintenance periods, the LogicNets System Administrator always ensures the system displays a maintenance page.

The system displays the following standard maintenance page, but you can customize what the system displays to your users.

## Customization Tips

* You can make minor modifications by editing the default maintenance page.
* The Maintenance page HTML accepts inline text styling.
* You can convert images from standard formats (jpg, png) to Base64 using an online tool, if necessary.
* You can represent any desired logo in Base64 format using the HTML tag *\<img src="data:image/png;base64, ....>*

## Customized Page Example

Below is an example of a more sophisticated customized maintenance page with inline styling. To use this as a starting point, copy the text in the *Sample Text* section below and paste it into the Maintenance Page HTML box. From there, make any required edits.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://community-test.logicnets.com/release-9/platform-documentation/system-administration/system-settings/logicnets-installation-maintenance-page.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
